Intuition vs (Anxious) Mind

There may be times when you are wondering if you are following your intuition or not. Many of us are working to tame overthinking and tap into our intuition to help navigate life. But what if you just aren't sure if this is happening?

The mind is great for finding and solving problems. Unfortunately, our minds are often unkind and full of worry and anxious thoughts. This can easily crowd out our intuition, or our inner knowing. Our intuition has a ton of wisdom and knows our potential. Here are some ways to help you differentiate.

  Intuition

  • Comes in calmly and quietly 

  • Message feels neutral, not emotionally charged

  • Not repetitive

  • Feels a little out of the blue

  • More present focused

  • Feels wise

 (Anxious) Mind

  • May be noisy and loud 

  • Feels emotionally charged or fearful 

  • Can be repetitive

  • Related to a string of thoughts

  • More past or future focused

  • Feels like second guessing

Try to see if you can notice if your thoughts are coming from your mind or your intuition. What does your intuition feel like to you?
